I have been around the world and I think this is one of the bests sights. I was passing through and felt I had to do a visit, I got a three day pass so I could take my time, you need a passport photo for this pass so its handy to take some with you, also some of the temples can take a day to get there and back - you dont need to do these - but taking the time out is worth it. Of course, anyone who has been to this monument of heritage and history will say one of two things: 1. Amazing or 2. What to say? This is one of the wonders of the world and no one can possible visit Siem Reap without a stop off at this amazing temple. Based a few miles out of town, if you're not with a tour your best bet is to negotiate a good day rate with one of the excellent tuk tuk drivers in town - they'll be floating around outside your hotel.
