Bombay is located in the southern part of India. The city is the capital of Maharashtra and account 16 million inhabitants. It can be also named " the city of dreams" , or "the city which never sleep" but still "the Golden City".
Renamed Mumbay, the city was named Bombay during more than four centuries. It is also the economic capital of India but also the capital of the film production of India. Some compare the city with Indian Hollywood. Mumbay is also characterized by its coloured markets, its temples and its rickshaws.
Mumbay counts several tourist sites of exception: Colaba, the historical centre of the city, the caves of Elephanta located at one hour of boat where are the emblematic sculpture of Trimurti, the station Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus built in 1888, the museum of Prince de Galles or the national park of Sanjay Gandhi. The door of India, built on the sea front, is the symbol of Mumbay. But Mumbay, it is also a city with the animated streets and the intense night life.
