The cemetery in eastern Paris commonly referred to as “Père-Lachaise cemetery” is the city’s most prestigious and most widely-visited. To date, one million people have been buried there, and it is visited by more than two million people annually.

    • Un agréable cimetière?!

      Comme une personne a dit pour ce cimitière, c'est l'endroit ou on peut s'apprecier en faisant proménade ou même de pic-nique. Un cimetière où on peut commencer la journée en y promenant sans inquiétudes pour la mort. Le lieu aussi auquel pour cette vie nous pouvons rencontrer en manière plus directe des personnages célébres entrelesquelles la plus connue, le chanteur du rock groupe et poète Jim Morrison qui a vécu sa vie à ses limites afin d'avoir un mort soudain.

          Thought we would just have a look at Jim Morrisons grave, The cemetry was easy to find, but the size of it was huge! I did wonder why people were selling maps at the gate. It had street signs for each part, and the graves were spectacular, some were really gothic. Found Edith Piaf easily eonough, but Jim Morrison was very elusive. After about 2 hours we found it.
