Peking or Beijing is the capital and one of the most dynamic cultural cities of the Popular Republic of China. The town is the third of the country by his population, after Shanghai and Guangzhou with 17 000 000 inhabitants. It combines three quarters of the population of the autonomous municipality of Peking on a 16 800 km² surface.
